Limiting beliefs: how proverbial phrases are fucking with your happiness
According to our trusty friend, the Webster Dictionary, “Empathy refers to the ability to relate to another person’s pain vicariously, as if one has experienced that pain themselves.” Empathy is treated like a virtue these days and we seem to admire those who are deemed “empaths.” But is it helpful to others (or to yourself) to match the vibrational frequency of someone when they are experiencing low vibration emotions (guilt, shame, fear, sadness, etc)? Answers to questions about the bootcamp
I'm so tired of seeing everyone on social media portraying perfect relationships, aren't you? I imagine you've been comparing your current or ideal relationship to theirs, so I wanted to get real and vulnerable (and watch out because this is just the beginning of me getting honest with y'all). I fucking hate fighting, and I hate admitting when I'm wrong even more. Can you relate? I used to avoid it at all costs but that meant keeping myself small and easily manipulated. So I went to the other extreme and just went at it whenever I had a chance. But that meant living in anger and resentment. Over the past few years I've found more of a balance. I've accepted that fighting is inevitable, but I pick and choose when I fight and that usually means letting things go. When I DO fight, I've set the intention to use it as an opportunity for growth, either personally or within the relationship. But MY GOD this past Saturday I apparently needed to release some anger because I found myself just searching for an argument. And I definitely succeeded at making one! In the midst of it I realized something, and I did something SO out of character, but it really highlighted my personal growth. Watch the video to hear my story.
